  1. For me it has to be the story and special effects. I don't really care about the actors at all. As long as the movie is good, has a good story, and decent effects ill go see it. Best movies are Horror.

  2. I suppose the things that I think makes a movie Oscar worthy would have to be the actors, the atmosphere, and the story.

While my standards for "good" are pretty low, if a movie is going to get an award for being amazing, I'd honestly look at it from all of the aspects of it aside from special effects, unless it was a movie which was entirely composed of special effects, and the execution of said effects.

I think it goes without saying that you need a good story to make a good movie (unless you're a comedy. In that case, just make me laugh.) If you can't get a good story, get everything else to be amazing. You can make anything amazing with a correctly casted set of characters and a good atmosphere to fit a movie. (EX: You don't want to see overwhelmingly bright and lit colors in a horror movie with little children laughing. It doesn't fit the setting.)

  3. I think a movie is Oscar worthy if the storyline is good. Without a interesting storyline then the movie is all over the place, boring, and pointless. A movie should have many different components; not just horror, comedy, drama, etc. There should be some humor in most movies, some scenes that make you tear up, and some scenes that make you jump out of your own skin.

  4. I think what makes a movie worthy of an Oscar is the storyline. Despite people having different preferences in movies, you should always be able to get into the movie and not sit there bored out of your mind.

  5. I think that the creativity and fresh ideas that the writers and directors come up with is what makes for an oscar-worthy movie. The actors are very important too, but without a good story, it is hard to make a good film.

  6. I think it's most important that the storyline and the characters are engaging, relatable, and real. The actors obviously play a big part in achieving this. Even one bad actor can can manage to ruin an entire movie.

  7. A movie worthy of an Oscar is determined by many different things. From the actors to the story line, the special effects to the emotions the film will make you feel. A good movie needs to have a story line that makes sense, you can't just be all over the place or the viewer will get bored. Sometimes Oscar's go to movies that we have never even heard of. I like when that happenes because, now people will be interested in something that they would have never thought of watching.

  8. I think the acting, the story and the message all combined make a movie worth winning an Oscar. If the acting sucks or the movie does t have a good message than the movie shouldn't get an Oscar.

  9. I think the storyline is worthy of an oscar because if it wasbased on the actor, they could have done an awful job ina flim but just because their famous, they would get an oscar anyway,.

  11. In my opinion, I believe an oscar worthy movie is required to have great actors and a great storyline. The special effects are also very important. Most good storyline's are relatable and people have lived through a similar event.

  12. I think that an oscar worthy movie starts out with an good, original storyline. The story needs to be interesting, it needs to be something that will keep you captivated. An oscar worthy movie also needs to have good actors to bring that story to life. Without good actors a good story can be ruined.

  13. I think what makes a movie worthy of winning an oscar is a combination of notable actors and a rememerable storyline. If you have a bad story line but good actors this movie will flop and be a big disappoint to people and could make the actor look bad. if you have a good story line but terrible actors you ruin what could have been an oscar winning movie that people remember for years down the road.

  14. The storyline definitely is what makes a movie great and worthy of an oscar. the storyline draws the viewer in, and from there the movie can install certain ideas, values and life lessons the view can use or think about after the movie. sometimes we can watch a great movie with a good storyline and the actors SUCK!, but at the end of they day its a good movie.

  15. An oscar should go to an actor that fit the part and played the part well. A good movie is a movie with morals, a movie everyone can laugh/cry after watching. Obviously, a movie that no one will regret paying to see and that wont make anyone fall asleep while watching.

  16. I think a movie that is Oscar worthy should include good actors and a great storyline. We see previews of movies on television of before other movies that we're seeing in theaters, and from those previews, we determine whether we would enjoy seeing it or not. A movie without a good storyline is definitely not worth an Oscar in my opinion. People need to really be able to connect with the actors' stories and believe what's going on in the movie. Which is why the movie really needs good actors, so it makes the movie that much more realistic.

  17. The story is the most important part of a movie being Oscar-worthy but also the actors play a huge role. A movie like Legion had one of the best storylines but the actors were horrible and it didnt really come out that great. I don't pay too much attention to the special effects.

  18. I beleiev that and actor or actress deserve an oscar if they actually work for it. They dont win it for doing a horrible job. I believe they also deserve an oscar for a great story line.
